& Mission
Temple of Martial Arts philosophy reinforces the concepts that the main objective
of the martial arts is the perfection of higher person's life. Constant training, in and out of the kwoon, will allow the
practitioner to transend to a higher mental and physical level encompassing the preservation of health and the inprovement
of personality and temperament.
"He who excels as a warrior does not appear formidable
He who excels in fighting is never aroused in anger
He who excels in defeating his enemies does not join issue
He who excels in employing other humbles himself before them
This is the virtue of non-connection and the matching of the sublimty of heaven."
Three Guiding Principles of TMA:
- WE TRAIN FIRST AND FOREMOST FOR STREET SELF-DEFENSE.
We train to be effective in
the street environment, then make adjustments to the training for students who wish to enter sporting competitions. Not the
other way around.
- WE TRAIN WITH PROGRESSIVE RESISTANCE.
A real attacker is going to resist your efforst
100%. If you want to learn how to fight, you have to practice fighting against someone who is fighting back. Progressive resistance
allows everyone, regardless of experience, to do this in a safe, fun training environment.
- WE TRAIN AS COMPLETE SELF-DEFENSE ATHLETES: ALL THE RANGES (STANDING, CLINCH, GROUND), MULTIPLE
OPPONENTS, WEAPONRY, A VARIETY OF ENVIRONMENTS).
We train to be prepared for almost any situation. We want each
student to actually train in as many self-defense scenarios as possible so that if a student gets into a bad situation they
already have experience in that particular situation.

School pledge
I believe that the constant practicing of the martial arts will enable me to transend to a higher mental
and physical level. I shall show respect to the art, my sifu, sihings and sidais. I shall exercise the utmost tolerance
and consideration in dealing with people and general matters in and outside the temple.

This month focus is on grappling
The TMA program teaches you to use unique combination of multiple art to
defeat stronger, more skilled, and even armed opponents. Learn how to restrain and incapacitate your opponent fast with intuitive
strategies and tactics. TMA program doesn’t
employ countless, complicated techniques, but rather easy-to-learn systems enabling you to get confident and capable right
away.
OUR FACILITIES
With over 2500 square feet of floor space, the TMA is one of the largest and most complete martial art
schools in the high desert area. Our classes are conducted in the main training room on a high quality matted floor.
Our facility also offers a fully equipped weight room and an open workout room with heavy bags, allowing students to train
independently from their scheduled class times.
